| This is my first book, Dragonflies on my Rod Tip. It is a collection of short stories about life in the Ozarks seen through the eyes of someone who grew up and lived his life there. The stories are about growing up in a rural Ozarks community in Arkansas filled with fishing, hunting, and generally humorous stories. | To

| ABOUT ME | ||
|---|---|---|
| I
am a native of Arkansas from a little town called
Hattieville. I grew up on a cattle farm and spent a lot of
time working, hunting and fishing there. Life was tough in
some ways, but growing up where I did gave me a lot of fodder for
stories that I have put into my book. In 2001, I was introduced to the wonderful world of fly fishing. Since then, I have put up most of my spinning and bait casting gear in favor of the "long rod" angling. It is my therapy and my passion. I love to tie flies, fish, and photograph the scenary where I cast my fly. I consider my home waters to be the White River system in Arkansas and Missouri. The tailwaters offer great fishing for trout, but the other streams offer great warm water angling for sunfish, bass, and other species. |

I
met my wife, Cindy, when she lived in Mammoth Spring, AR and fell in
love twice. First with her and then with the Spring River in
Arkansas. The Spring River is formed from Mammoth Spring on
the Arkansas - Missouri border and is one of my favorite streams to
cast my fly. For several years, I have written short stories that folks liked and told me I should put into book form. That was the birth of "Dragonflies on my Rod Tip" my first book. I'm working on a couple of new books, so be watching for those soon!! |
